FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ~
Why hire an experienced painter?
Even though it looks easy to simply buy some cheap face paint and splash them on the face, they will produce less quality results and "unhappy" faces. Professional face painting requires the use of high quality materials, years of experience and a great amount of skill. I pride myself on safety, quality of my work, and taking the time to make sure each creation is unique. These factors are very important to me and what my rates are based on.
I think you will find that hiring a professional face painter will be well worth the investment.
Is face painting for EVERYONE?
Absolutely! I provide fun designs for children, teens AND adults as well. There is no age limit for fun and creativity!
How many faces can you paint?
For birthday's, private parties or small events - (Cheek or arm designs) I can paint about 10 ~ 15 children per hour.
(depending on the complexity of the designs).
MASKS/HALF FACES - 2 - 4 min/design ~ 8 ~ 12 per hour
These are perfect for birthday parties and private events.
FULL FACES - takes about 3-5 min./design - I can do approx. 6 - 8 per hour.
These are perfect for a high quality full face effect.
CUSTOM DESIGNS? - Absolutely! Whether it's a mask for a masquerade party, skulls for Halloween costume....
there is no limit to my creativity.
What kind of face paint do you use?
We use only the highest quality professional-grade FDA compliant water based paints and cosmetic
glitters approved for the face and skin. They have been thoroughly tested and are designed to be
comfortable to wear, vibrant and safe. Brands I use are - Global, Diamond FX, Wolfe, Mehron and TAG.
These paints are made to go on smoothly and dry quickly and can be removed easily with mild soap & water.
We NEVER USE ACRYLIC, TEMPURA, POSTER OR OTHER CRAFT PAINT OR MARKERS ON SKIN!
(Nor should anyone for face or body painting)! These are NOT approved for use on the skin.
Tip: Professional face painters, should ONLY use professional paints.
Safety & Hygiene?
My brushes and sponges are cleaned in antibacterial soap throughout each event. (ALL the paints used are
made with antibacterial ingredients already in them. Antibacterial wipes and sanitizers are often used during every event!
* Please Note: even though the paints are hypoallergenic, I do not recommend face painting if your child has skin allergies).
Is there a safe & gentle way to remove all that beautiful paint?
Most of the paints I use can be removed simply with soap or a gentle cleanser and warm water.
Safe makeup remover or baby wipes will work well too. Some paint pigments may be tougher to remove.. if so, I recommend
simply leaving a mild cleanser on longer, then gently clean the area again. DO NOT SCRUB- (It can irritate the skin).
Is there anyone you won't paint?
Rest assured, we are taking all precautions into consideration throughout the pandemic!
Since we want this to be a positive experience for everyone, we will NOT paint children under the age of 2 and/or who are reluctant, simply because they tend to lose focus quickly and make sudden movements. This compromises the quality of the design and can also pose as a risk of injury. I am happy to attempt a quick neat image with a stamp for those tots who may be a bit squirmy or too shy to have their faces painted. Also, for health and safety reasons - anyone who feels or appears sick (runny nose, cold), has eczema, conjunctivitis, open cuts or sores will not be painted. I will be more than happy to paint an image on a hand, arm or leg instead.

How do I book you for an event?
The easiest way to make a booking is to email me at: [email protected] or text me at: 380-1575 as soon as you have a date in mind.
Booking as early as possible is always best. Please notify me at least two weeks prior to your event before booking. In your email/contact form I will need to know a few things: the type of event, date, time and location of the event, number of guests attending, and a contact phone number. (see contact form page) As always, feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. I will get back with you as soon as possible with a confirmation email. A contract can be supplied to you upon request.
Do you require a deposit?
Unlike many other face painters and other forms of party entertainment, Face 2 Face Art does not require a deposit when
booking for a small event or for birthday parties. However, for larger events and festivals, I will require a small booking fee to ensure my spot. If there are any changes or cancellations, a call or email asap is highly recommended and appreciated since this will allow me to fill in that time slot with another booking. Payment in FULL is required the day of the event by cash, check or Venmo.
Will I need to supply anything?
I provide ALL of the face paint and supplies I will need, including a display board for guests to choose from.
For an INSIDE event : I will need a small space with good lighting to set up. If you can provide a table and 2 chairs that would be great, otherwise I can provide my own.
For an OUTSIDE event : I would need to be in a sheltered area, protected from harsh wind and weather.
Will I need to Tip?
While gratuities aren't expected, they will certainly be appreciated!
I will make every possible effort to ensure a fun, safe and professional source of entertainment at your event!
Looking forward to seeing you at
your next event!
